Blockchain: Supermoney Ltd

“Founded in 2016, Supermoney is a digital payments company providing its clients with a suite of products, tools and services with which to create business networks using distributed ledger technologies to improve business process efficiency. At the core of Supermoney’s offering is the desire to take blockchain technology and apply it to real-world money and assets, and what makes the Applications have included, covered asset tracking, self-sovereign identity, closed loop payments, loyalty programs and escrow. Its products include blockchain applications for payments, customer loyalty and asset management.

Supermoney were unaware of the R&D tax credits scheme and believed that they would not qualify back in 2018 with HMRC’s muddy requirements. However, after speaking with members of our expert team, they quickly found that they could qualify, and were missing out on substantial rebates from HMRC. We also made sure to meet the imminent deadlines so that Supermoney would benefit from applying for the previous two financial years.

We helped identify the relevant spend, and collected the information quickly, and efficiently using our technology backed process. We created financial and technical reports for the claim. We filed the amended tax returns with the claim documents, and represented Supermoney when we submitted the claim to HMRC. Over the past few years, we have successfully saved Supermoney just over £110,000 in tax! We helped them every step of the way with the R&D claim.

These savings have been used to fuel the growth of the business and allowed them to keep investing into their bespoke platform. We continue to work with them on annual claims.”
